What the heck, eh? Thanks to

"Some call it lazyness, I call it deep thought." -- Garfield
Before I post my test results, I am going to go on a slight mini-rant. When the heck did Jim Davis die, exactly? I wonder, because I only glance at Garfield these days instead of eagerly awaiting it when I was a kid.
Granted, I was a kid and tastes do change...but even so, I can remember Garfield being a lot better in the early days than as it is now. Commercialization? That would seem to be the likely candidate. Garfield is a brand, and brands have recognition. When you have your character shilling for things like Courtyard Hotels, you become a commodity to be bought and sold.
Some might argue that you are essentially doing that in the comics page. I disagree. It's an art as well, and that's why there are better comics out there. 9 Chickweed Lane comes immediately to mind (as does the creators webcomic Pibgorn) here. So does Foxtrot, Doonebury, The Boondocks, For Better or For Worse, and many others...
My point? Garfield isn't what it used to be and that's too bad.
Trivia question: If there's anyone out there that has read Garfield back in the early days, Jon had a roommate. What was his name?

| Garfield! You scored 40 Aggression and 80 Silliness! |
| Cynical, bitter, hilarious and sometimes violent, you are Garfield! You love hedonism and schadenfreude. You have a great sense of humor and a little mean streak. People either love you or hate you, but I would wager that the majority love you. |
